Welcome to LPOHMA!

Leadership Prep Ocean Hill Middle Academy is a free public charter school in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Ocean Hill that serves grades 5-8. In August 2012, LPOHMA expanded on the Elementary Academy to provide families with a full K-8 experience. Leadership Prep Ocean Hill provides a well-rounded education to all students, preparing them for success in high school, college, and beyond.

We are proud to share that Leadership Prep Ocean Hill has been named a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School – a prestigious award that only the top 1/3 of 1% of schools in the country receive each year. LPOH was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for their consistently high levels of achievement, the dedication of our teachers, and our commitment to family engagement. LPOH is the first school in Brownsville to ever receive this award.
